Our Engineering Intern Program is designed for students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following engineering disciplines: Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, and Environmental. Our goal is to attract engineering students with a commendable academic record and have experienced leadership and team building roles through high school and/or college clubs, projects, athletics, community involvement and previous work experience.
Interns are assigned challenging work assignments within our company with the intent that their experience will be helpful for them in applying their academic learning to actual engineering principles and theories, software, and real life work experience. We hire rising sophomores, juniors and seniors that meet established job requirements. When completing a successful internship as a rising senior, a contingent job offer based on pre-identified criteria may be presented for a full time Engineer I position upon their college graduation as an Engineer.
We continuously look for opportunities to enhance the technical, professional and managerial skills of our employees.
A Coaching Program has been implemented at PDS to better understand the goals of our employees and to define and prioritize the goals of our business. It is a collaborative process that allows the employee and coach to agree on a Development Plan which provides growth for the employee in a manner that aligns with the company’s goals and initiatives. It is a forward thinking process that is designed to result in challenged and enthusiastic employees while offering bottom line improvements for the business!
Additionally, we believe that work/life balance is important to the overall success and wellness of our employees. We offer a work environment that promotes this balance and enhances continued development and learning.
